    Principal

Geoffrey Croke is the Principal of Psi Delta. He has developed Psi Delta from a background in senior management, mostly with resource company BHP. He managed or has provided key inputs to all of Psi Delta’s landmark projects in development of water recycling, water demand assessment, climate change adaptation and policy development including work for the Chinese Ministry of Environment.

With a background in farming and mining and over 30 years work on large engineering based projects he brings understanding, insights and practicality to the Psi Delta team. He has a number of international publications on water recycling and consultation and has been recognised by the Australian water industry for his contribution.

    Hoang Anh Cat
    BEng (Hons)
    Project Manager

Hoang Anh Cat is a project manager at Psi Delta, working on water and climate change projects with a special interest in natural resource management.

Hoang Anh works on projects that apply core Psi Delta methodology such as demand assessment, consultation and project feasibility. She is now taking a key role in development of Psi Delta’s climate change practice, particularly the assessment of production, economic and social impacts.

She has strong skills in project and multi-disciplinary team management and contributes this ability across Psi Delta’s activities.

    Lex Batters
    BA ME (WRM)
    Project Manager

Lex manages Psi Delta’s water markets, managing more than 150GL (150,000,000 m³) of temporary water in Queensland and advises government and private clients on temporary and permanent water sales and acquisitions. He is developing Psi Delta’s practice in investment recruitment for water and evaluation of water investments. Lex manages Psi Delta’s activity in secure water resource acquisition for corporate and resource industry clients.

Lex also contributes his experience in community consultation for regional and international development projects.

    Matthew Dent
    BEng (Hons)
    Project Manager

Matthew works on the full range of Psi Delta projects but with a speciality in integrated engineering, production, financial and economic modelling. He has advanced Psi Delta’s capability in regional assessment. While his earlier experience is mostly in water related projects he is extending Psi Delta’s capability into other areas such as modelling climate change and environmental policy impacts.

He manages complex multi-dimensional projects in water and environment to produce well-grounded reports in areas such as regional water demand assessment.

His work in engineering project evaluation such as irrigation system modernisation and water sourcing provides insights into risk and analysis of key variables.

Mathew’s projects often include detailed interface with engineering and other technical consultant contributors to Psi Delta projects.

Psi Delta’s environment practice emerges out of our work in water. We provide commercial input to environmental projects and problem solving capability in a multi-disciplinary context. Much of our work is done with specialist scientists and engineers who share the same high standards of work.
Project Focus – Queensland Water Commission: Sustainability Assessment of Water Assets

We understand the full costing of environmental initiatives and the environmental impacts of projects and programs. Value for money with environmental programs is a growing area of business – here we direct clients towards the best value from their expenditure.

Psi Delta’s sustainability analysis clearly identifies a project’s important sustainability issues, providing management with straightforward recommendations for business decision-making. Our analysis is applicable to a wide range of projects and applications from small local infrastructure projects to multi-billion dollar asset portfolios.

Risk assessment is part of our broader work and this usually includes environment-related risk.

As with water, financial, economic, social and strategic skills are applied to our work in climate, a setting that also requires a critical assessment of science and technology. Further, the impact on water availability is expected to be a major outcome of climate change.
