Irrigation modernisation

Psi-Delta’s capability in irrigation modernisation is in the business, economic, and social assessment of projects and the planning of practical implementation.  For the Shepparton East Irrigation district modernisation project we obtained detailed data on water users through a survey and then used advanced financial modelling to demonstrate the challenges faced for farmers to afford costs of renewal, constrained by falling prices from commodities produced.  Options for project cost reduction and other optimisation were presented.
